Cyberpunk 2077 has received a constant stream of updates since its release, but it looks like there is still work to be done on swimming.
With the latest update 1.3 for Cyberpunk 2077, it looks like the game is really starting to take shape and is one more step towards the experience CD Projekt Red promised ahead of its release. Along with the good of Update 1.3, one fan noticed a ridiculous swimming animation that apparently accidentally got added to the game with the patch.
Posted on the r / CyberpunkGame subreddit, Reddit user u / MayusYT showed his Cyberpunk 2077 footage of V swimming in crystal clear water. The problem with the pictures begins when they look at V’s shadow as their head randomly disappears and reappears and they appear to have developed an extra pair of arms extending out of their body.
The extra arms are pretty crazy and are connected to the hands with the regular shadow of V, making it a monstrous addition to the game. Although the swimming animations themselves have improved significantly over the base CD game. Projekt Red, it is clear that there is still work to be done on the shadow of V.
As one commenter on the original Reddit post pointed out, the extra arms look like the blades of Mantis that featured prominently in Cyberpunk 2077and available for in-game purchase via the various ripper-docs. Unfortunately, it looks like V’s extra arms here are a bug and not a feature of the game.
As more and more fixes and major updates have been pushed for Cyberpunk, there have certainly been fewer glitch showcases posted on sites like Reddit, YouTube, and Twitter. That said, the images from MayusYT serve as a bittersweet reminder of the many issues that plagued the game at launch. Even though they were often hilarious, it’s nice to see the progress CD Projekt Red has made on Cyberpunk 2077 over the past few months.
In addition to fixing many bugs and issues, Cyberpunk 2077Update 1.3’s also serves as the first free DLC that will continue to arrive in the game. The DLC is quite small considering the scale of the world of Cyberpunk is but features a handful of new cosmetic items, including outfits for Johnny Silverhand and a new vehicle.
There has been a lot of speculation about what Cyberpunk 2077The first narrative DLC will be like, but it looks like fans will still have to wait for any sort of update for when to expect it. Hopefully there will be more news on this before the end of the year as promised by CD Projekt.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions currently in development.
